Mist in Bohol is a highly popular restaurant known for its international cuisine and stunning ambiance, making it a favorite among tourists. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh seafood dishes and handcrafted tropical drinks, providing guests with a world-class dining experience. While the wait times can be long during peak hours, the unique interior design makes it worth the visit. Despite mixed reviews on food quality, Mist's overall appeal lies in its picturesque setting and delicious menu offerings.

I liked the unique architecture. It looks so native and rustic which gives it a nice country side and beach feels. They have a variety of beverage options. They serve nice coffee here to. Food also tastes great. I don’t know how but although the building itself does not look too big but inside it is quite spacious.

The architecture in this famous restaurant is so unique and gorgeous but I think you can appreciate it more during the day time compared to at night. It’s like an enclosed jungle. We enjoyed everything that we ordered except for the tacos since the sauce was too sweet for our liking. It’s worth dining at the MIST for the experience and picture takings.

On a Saturday afternoon at 2, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the place was relatively empty. Their helpful personnel deserves praise. The cuisine is delicious, and the portions are generous enough to be shared. There wasn't anything particularly memorable about the food's flavor that I can recall.

Teena C — Google review

The menu is an exciting fusion of tastes, and each dish is beautifully presented. The restaurant's atmosphere is elegant, making it an ideal spot for a date night or celebration. The staff is attentive and ensures your dining experience is flawless.MIST is a gem that deserves all the accolades.

George E — Google review

We enjoyed our dinner there. We were so full and almost not able to finish as they have large servings of food. Totally worth it. The ambience is so instagrammable.

Cynthia L — Google review

Based on other reviews, I expected larger meal portions and better taste. The food is good, not great as told. Also, more expensive then told as well. It's definitely worth the experience if in the area. I wouldn't travel 30 minutes to an hour to get there, wait until you're in the area.

Awesome B — Google review

Good ambiance, place is cozy, definitely a 5 star for the food. What I personally enjoyed is the place. It's great for picture taking. The food presentations are also great! Staffs are friendly. Will definitely dine again when I visit Bohol.

Mist Restaurant in Panglao, Bohol, is a true culinary delight! The ambiance is cozy yet stylish, making it the perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The menu offers a fantastic range of dishes, blending local flavors with international flair, and each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and careful attention to flavor. The seafood is especially noteworthy – incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked! The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re here for lunch, dinner, or a few cocktails, Mist Restaurant is a must-visit in Panglao. Five stars!

This place looks like it was a setting from Ghibli made to life. You come here for the eccentric interiors of the place. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for an hour or more to get seated during peak hours. The staff were nice enough to provide water when asked, and they do monitor how long each customer waits. Food wise, they are just okay. Presentation is great, but taste wise is just okay. You come here for the unique interior design, so just keep your expectations on food at a minimum.

Ronn W — Google review

The place was very aesthetic. It was breezy and clean. You order via an ipad, which becomes hard especially if you have a large group.Food was good. Nothing spectacular or mind blowing, but just good. I really liked the ambiance and they do allow you to slide down their wooden slide.

Mikee J — Google review

Nice service. Building will definitely get your attention. Unfortunately the food won't impress you as much. Depends what you order.Calamari really good. Same with tacos but shrimps overcooked with tasteless mushrooms from the can. Dragon roll deep-fried and tasteless and mashed potatoes don't even bother. It's from powderm dry af with terrible taste.Drinks vere really good though

J D — Google review

We visited the restaurant during the day, so there were quite a lot of vacant seats. I liked all the dishes we ordered, especially the rolls - I definitely recommend trying them. Tortillas were not convenient to eat and there was a lot of salad in them)Waiters quickly brought ordersI recommend visiting this place.

Let me start off by saying my experience here was great if you aren’t considering the food. The atmosphere is amazing (great place to meet friends), but the food was subpar. The crab cakes that we ordered tasted more like a scoop of mayonnaise than anything else. I also order the flaming fish (which was amazing to watch), but as far as the fish it was okay. Maybe not worth the price. The Beer Margarita was great though. We also got nachos and I went back the next day to try the burger. The burger pattie (maybe in Philippines in general) has a ferry interesting tasting. Kind of fishy. It might be the seasoning they use (maybe too much Adobo… I am Puerto Rican we love adobo but and yes there’s a thing called too much Adobo haha).Chocolate cake was delicious thoygh.I would say this place is great for dessert and drinks but not for the dinner.

Joseph O — Google review

One of the best dinners I’ve had in my life. The food was amazing. I had the tomahawk steak, calamar rings, chocolate cake, mango beer cocktails. Everything really good but the tomahawk and the cocktail are something else 😍

Our second visit to this restaurant in a month and nothing much has changed. The waiting for a table system appears chaotic and standing in the street is not really acceptable. We were a party of 6 and managed to get a table within 30 minutes. The menu is difficult to read for some as the tablet used is quite small and the variety of food is quite limited.Having ordered our food and drinks we did not have to wait long for things to be served, however....Items are listed on the menu as starters and mains, we all ordered one of each. The kitchen obviously does not have any system for timing between courses. The starters and mains were served all mixed up and just kept coming together so basically all our food was sitting on the table going cold and we felt rushed to consume it.Crab tacos were quite good. The beef burger was bland and quite tasteless. The fries were frozen rubbish and not cooked properly. The sizzling beef in black pepper was tough and the vegetables uncooked.Chicken burger was a greasy mess. For a restaurant that on average costs of 1000 php per head it is pretty poor.Add in the fact that stray dogs are roaming the lower floor and it becomes very second rate.Although the menu and layout remains interesting, in reality it has become a 'conveyor belt' type of place. They want you in and out as quickly as possible and basically throw the food at you to achieve it.Never again.

If you’re looking for a new place to stay after your whole day of travel and exploring the island, this place is a must. The food is excellent with very friendly people and staff who are very welcoming to the guests. Come early if you want to secure a spot since it gets crowded in the afternoons

I think this is under the same management as Mosa so I'm not surprised at all that we enjoyed dining here. Each dish is a unique one and the serving time is reasonable. The best thing I liked in this restaurant is the structure itself. They allocated budget to design the place and there's a lot of different tables/chairs you can choose from. It's a 3-level structure so their capacity is really huge. I recommend eating here for early lunch so it's less busy. I hope they maintain a good quality of service. Looking forward to coming back!

A lovely 2 story open plan building creatively decorated. There are several areas to choose from with variations of seating arrangements. The menu is extensive but there is not one vegetable dish!I ordered the Pasta with seafood and black ink. The pasta was good but the scallop on top was still cold - uncooked!

Mist is an easy 5 star experience, not only does this place look amazing and will make your friends/family jealous on instagram, but the food really does hold up well.Would recommend the surf and turf, crab tacos, pork mix(?). But everything else like the lasagna and chicken wings were good too, the Garlic Rice was also pretty goodNo complaints here and would come back again, I would just recommend going early.. because this place gets PACKED, and for good reason

Zarian — Google review

The ambiance and service is great but the food simply lacked taste. We had to add a copious amount of salt, pepper, hot sauce and soy sauce to our food just to be able to enjoy them. The entire experience was designed to be as aesthetic as possible, I just wish the taste was up to par. Lines are usually very long but we managed to arrive around 6pm just a few minutes before their dinner rush. I really don't understand why people recommend this place outside of the ambiance.

Mike L — Google review

Good place with parking, a lot of customers, and a nice view. However, if you need to order food and drinks, it should be done at the same time because it seems like the staff doesn't understand the menu very well, and there is no information provided when the order arrives, especially if you are going as a big group. Overall, it is a good place that is worth visiting.

Ryker T — Google review

Each dish is beautifully presented, and the taste matches the visual appeal. The staff is attentive and passionate about the food they serve. It is a dining experience you won't soon forget.

Antonia S — Google review

Food is okay.. I ordered lasagna a little bit dry to my liking and needs more cheese/sauce and salt Big serving though. My companions ordered seafood stir fry noodles, chicken and beef burger, strawberry yogurt smoothies, mango milk tea, passion fruit & lemon and mango & lemon juice. The juice is a little bit low on sugar, the strawberry yogurt was good the mango milktea is okay. We were looking forward for the pork platter but sadly it was no longer available..

Maricel B — Google review

The place was good for pictures. The food and drinks were less than delicious and satisfying. The Sunday Myst drink tasted like soda water mix.The ice baby bear was like kopiko taste and blunt.Lastly, the crab tacos were a disaster...

Tasty food, Very bad overall experience!!!To sum up: Big place and not enough staff nor kitchen…We ordered two starters, drinks and two main dishes. We got the drinks, two starters and everything was tasty. Then my friend got his main dish and 20 mins passed by and I didn’t get mine. I ask for the bill and canceled my order, the order comes right after and the waiter apologized that the kitchen is busy! I was already upset and we cancelled the order and asked for the bill.10 minutes till they get the bill, after that we waited 15 minutes for the change (500p) and we went to the waiter who told us that the cashier was so busy and he couldn’t leave there and get us the rest! So we could have waited GOD knows how long before he’d come up…Not sure if it we were just not lucky or it is the case often there!! I’d say the place is so big, and they don’t have enough staff for it (looks like other reviews agree)Such a shame cause the food was actually good 🤷🏻‍♂️

One of my friends recommended this place on our Bohol trip and I was not disappointed at all, even though I had high expectationsThe food was really good, especially the crab tacos, which is my personal recommendation. Its a messy meal but its worth it. The drinks were really good and the food was quite filling even though at first I was skeptical. We even had to bring home some of the food because we couldnt finish it. Of course the price range is much higher than your run of the mill restaurant. Its up to you whether you feel its worth it and want to try this dining experience. The atmosphere is great because eating at different parts of the restaurant will give you different vibes. There is an area that looks like a board of trustees will eat there, a cozy family lounge, and simpler cushioned chairs and tables for a quicker meal. Its a beuayifully furnished restaurant with a treehouse/jungle feel. Also there are actually plenty of service staff around to help cater to guests and their alert and responsive. Even when we were trying to decide where to be seated, they were helpful in guiding us and even cleaning up the previous tables right away as we were waiting for others to arrive.

We went for a vacation to Bohol and searched for a restaurant. So we found on Social Media Mist and went over there for dinner. We had the best experience there, the food is awesome, the service very kind and helpful and the atmosphere is just perfect. Of course at the first sight it’s a little bit more expensive but it’s worth it for what you get.I would recommend mist for everyone who wants to have a nice dinner in Bohol.

Great place to test your culinary taste buds. This place is a must visit. Three story complex, with an excellent atmosphere, with lots of green planting indoors. That creates a cool place to dine on a hot Philippinio day.The menu wasn't too extensive. All meals came out beautifully decorated, and to my taste, didn't require any other condiments. The service was excellent from entering the restaurant. I was impressed with how quickly the meals still came out for service.Great job all around, thank you.

Gordon W — Google review

I don't recommend their beef burger. the patty tasted like 90% filler, barely any beef flavor. 1/10 for the patty, but the fries were okay. Having had real beef patties in Dumaguete, I can tell the difference.

Shahannie A — Google review

Based on my experience after visiting this place for 5 times the issues of the quality of the food is still the same. We ordered the beef 2 orders the portion is generous but it’s too sweet for our liking. Ordered the seafood treasure the shrimp has a weird texture it’s not FRESH . Please do better next time because you have a beautiful place it’s so nice and relaxing .

Cozy and stylish spot. Good for group dine in because the caffe offers a variety of dishes, from comfort food to gourmet options. Service is generally friendly and efficient, though it can get busy during peak hours, which might slightly affect wait times. Overall, it's well-regarded for its food quality and relaxing atmosphere.

Pros:1. Very instagrammable interior design.2. Different yet cohesive vibes for various corners and nooks. Some with aircon, but most open air al fresco style3. Foods and drinks are presented very beautifully.4. There are assigned staff for every corner and the girl assigned in the low seating area was very hardworking and accommodating. The type where she will refill the water glass without being told.3. My wife loved the beary mango drink she had. Real mangoes.4. The circular chocolate was delicious. What's inside was just ok. But the chocolate itself is really tasty.5. Offered free bread while waiting. T'was ok. Not as delicious as say Texas Roadhouse. But at least they offer it unlike most restaurants who'd let you wait for long.Cons:1. Not in the main hub, so you'd have to pay expensive tuktuk just to get there.2. The ribs was ok albeit a bit dry. It's lacking if you compare to Mosa's ribs.3. I don't know who's fault it was but our bill was paid by another group so I can't use my credit card anymore. Was forced to use cash.Tips:1. Come on weekdays to avoid waiting time

MIST is beautiful. The design is nice. Good place for photography. It is good place to enjoy the sunset but the top floor will only be available after 6pm. If you would like to come early to sit in the top floors, it is not ok. After you sit in 2nd before 1800, you are not allowed to change to top floor. It is also understandable. The food is not very good as the interest said.A little bit over cook of the fishes. The menus may change regularly, it sounds great to the customers.

R R — Google review

Very bad service.Have to wait ask for seat and staff ignoring and have to stand there and ask again for the seat. The staff just drop an expensive big seafood platter that we order on table and walk away without give you any dish or spoon and folk. The mango shake tastes good. However the seafood taste is worst and not worth it for the freshness and price. The decoration and ambient is the only good thing here.

Manawat ( — Google review

The service and presentation were very satisfying. We never expected the abundance of the surf and turf dish. We were truly satisfied with everything and the money we spent was worth it. It’s worth the hype. The pyro dishes presentation were very amusing. A very big thumbs up

Trevor S — Google review

We definitely enjoyed our dining experience. I felt that everything we paid for was worth it, and I already miss their strawberry yogurt drink! They just need to add more staff because the waiters tend to be overwhelmed and can’t accommodate the crowd, especially during peak hours.

Visited in October 2024.Philippines. Panglao. Bohol.MIST, recommended by a friend as a culinary gem in this part of the island, initially captivated us with its aesthetic appeal. The high ceilings, light-filled interior, and abundant greenery create a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant boasts ample space, but as we discovered, reservations are highly recommended due to its popularity. However, our group of six managed to secure a table without a reservation.Food:The menu, while concise, presents a fusion of Asian and European cuisines, although the limited wine and cocktail selection felt more akin to a lounge than a full-fledged restaurant. We sampled a variety of dishes from the menu, yielding mixed results. The tacos, while generously filled, were ultimately underwhelming, their flavors lacking depth. The pulled pork and prawn tacos stood out with more pronounced and interesting taste profiles. The pork ribs were a disappointment. The meat struggled to separate from the bone and was a little dry. Even the sweet barbecue sauce couldn't salvage the lack of rich meaty flavor. The dumplings with meat, encased in black dough, were a culinary disaster. The filling contained partially cooked black rice and a small pieces of meat, creating a strange and unappetizing combination. The inclusion of rice in a dumpling was perplexing, a bizarre local peculiarity. The shrimp tempura was mediocre, leaving an oily aftertaste due to the excessive batter. The sauces, based on mayonnaise, further contributed to the dish's heaviness. The noodle soup with shrimp and pork had an unbalanced spiciness, lacking depth beyond a simple, fiery heat. The sole dish that truly impressed us was the beef ravioli in tomato sauce. The pasta was cooked to perfection, thin and smooth, and the sauce achieved a delicate balance between sweet and savory. The filling was juicy and flavorful. Our friends also enjoyed the berry milkshake.Service:Service was adequate, with the staff taking our orders and delivering our food. While the servers were friendly, they seemed somewhat indifferent, perhaps due to our foreign status and the language barrier. Removing dirty dishes was a slow process. Conclusion:We were left puzzled by MIST's popularity. The food, frankly, was average. While edible, it lacked the quality and excitement to warrant a return visit. The beautiful interior is undoubtedly a highlight, setting it apart from other establishments on the island. For those seeking a stylish setting, the cocktails are a good option, though pricing is above average.

Went here for late lunch, around 2pm. The ambiance is superb and I guess that's what you really pay for. The food is okay, very fancy and really expensive. Oh, the food really look pretty, 'very instagram-able' as my sis would say. The price is for the ambience + presentation. Nice experience though.

High expectations due to socmed/google reviews, but sadly, we were left dissapointed by the taste of the food for our birthday dinner. Tip: visit here for the overall aesthetic and food plating.I commend the service and staff since they were able to put out the calamares and iced macchiato in 15mns around 6PM dinner time. Weird that the salad came last.Calamares - was crispy and the sauce made it a whole lot better. Love the sauce that tastes like miso-sriracha-mayo dip. Get this!Iced macchiato latte - tastes diluted. Didnt like itLasagna - good for a few bites but it gets heavy as you eat since it lacks red sauce and creaminess with lots and lots of meat. the choice of meat texture is not what i'm used to. saw a google review that it was creamy so i got it even if it costs 379, my experience was different.Smoked salmon salad - big serving with lots of black olives and just enough lemon dressing. staff was kind enough to provide us another serving of the dressing and made things better. has a strips of fresh salmon trimmings.Mist day special (sunday) - umm pass. can't explain what it is. a bit like sparkling water with different fruits and honey for 180php. this was our last order because they look so good and we thought this would make us feel better but still it didnt.

Nestled in a serene setting, this place is the epitome of cool. The ambiance washes over you, instantly transporting you to a realm of relaxation. The food? Absolutely divine - each dish a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. And the drinks? They're like little bursts of refreshment, each sip a delightful explosion on the palate. A must-visit for anyone seeking a sensory escape.

The ambiance is pleasing and perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy moments. The drinks are enjoyable, however, the service leaves much to be desired. Waiting times for orders are longer than expected, which detracts from the overall experience. The service is as slow as monkeys climbing through the jungle!🙂‍↔️Too Pricey actuallyseems like your not just buying a meal but for the view as well🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Spent my 23rd birthday here ❤️ It was actually our first time at Mist, we came a long way to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint! Food was great and looks so appetizing! 🤤 Loved the atmosphere, showcasing nature with their exteriors 🍃 Service was good too! Will probably be back to visit them again soon 🤭

We visited on a weekday for lunch and thankful, it's not crowded. Food, hit or miss. Love their chocolate cake. Chicken wings had too thick butter. Steak was bigger than expected and tender😋.... ambience,,, just dont expect too much still good for experience.

We had a work dinner meeting here and the place was steamy and hot. We couldn’t relax. We asked for an electric fan and the crew said they will try to look for a fan, but never came back. Lol.My colleague had to follow up for the white wine 3 times 😅Aesthetic, anyway.Food was okay.Generally, we experienced a quick serving time. Except for the wine.

Such a beautiful and serene place - definitely IG worthy! The staffs were very welcoming, attentive, and prompt, especially with refilling our cups with water! And the food…. Delicious! We ordered multiple items to make sure the flavors/taste were consistent. If there’s a downside, on the “meat platter,” pls tone down on the mustard - it was quite overpowering.

Amazing place, lovely atmosphere and people. Drinks are superb. The smoothies and juices are so refreshing and tasty. Food is good in principle. Unfortunately, as everywhere else we dined, the fish is overcooked.

Food: everything was good except for the beef (chewy) on the fried noodles. I ordered a cocktail but they said they cannot serve alcohol which was confusing because there was a full bar. Also ordered a smoothie, was told they only could serve juice and sodas, but saw the table next to us got someService: took 20 minutes to get greeted even though it was low traffic time and multiple tables open. Also asked for condiments 2 times and never got it. Overall good spot but there’s room for improvement on the service level.

The Mist has always been my Bohol favourite. I have been here three times. I love that they have places to loiter and goof around and an air-conditioned corner for people who would prefer not to be exposed to open air or heat on different times of the day. The staff is very friendly too and I love that we can pay via card. Anyhowwww, according to my Swiss best-friend: “It was the best Pumpkin Soup he ever had.”
